Become a Mediator

What is a Mediator?

Mediators are young STEAM educators who serve as the face of Science Gallery Atlanta in the gallery space and guide visitors through innovative and thought-provoking conversations about the science, art and complex global challenges within our exhibitions. They are self-confessed science and technology nerds, art lovers and design buffs who love talking about quirky, controversial and edgy topics. Mediators can come from a range of backgrounds and interests, but they all have one thing in common - they love to educate the public on science and artt!

What do Mediators do?

Mediators are communicators, explainers, listeners, and helpers. They must be prepared to develop an in-depth understanding of both the science and the art within our exhibitions. They are excited to explore interesting and provoking ideas with our visitors. They work in the gallery space during regular business hours, provide support for programs and events both in the evenings and weekends, and are proactive go-getters who want to bring STEAM to the community!
