Me. You. Limbo.

Yole Quintero

How much do you love your smartphone? Does obsessive use of technology shape your personality?

Using the metaphor of a love affair that endures a series of losses (including the loss of self), Me. You. Limbo. explores the influence of addictive technology and social media on our relationships with ourselves and others.

Yole Quintero's work is about performance, cultural identity, femininity, visual pop culture and politics, often evoking elements that trigger questions about social statements and stereotypes. A current major focus is the human/technology relationship, particularly the social aspects of cyber-culture: encompassing social media, computer mediated communication, and interactivity, and more. Her practice includes photography, film, performance and digital/physical installations.
