Mad Housers Q&A

  • Science Gallery Atlanta 225 Rogers Street Northeast Atlanta, GA, 30317 United States (map)

Join us for a Q&A with Emory University neuroscientist Dr. Amanda Jacob and Tracy Woodard of Mad Housers. Science Gallery Atlanta is currently featuring two Mad Housers structures in the JUSTICE exhibition.

Mad Housers is an Atlanta-based non-profit that has built free, locking shelters for homeless individuals since 1987. Founded by Georgia Tech architecture students, Mad Housers' simple designs have helped stabilize hundreds of homeless adults, provide a safe space for transitioning off the street, and dramatically improve mental health.

Mad Housers shelters have been displayed in the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, the Cooper-Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum in New York City, and the Museum of Design in Atlanta MODA.

This is a free event.
